Networking and collaboration at local and regional, national and recently trans-national levels is an integral part of TELC’s strategy to share good practice and provide holistic services to our clients.
Local and Regional Partnerships
Information Advice and Guidance (IAG)
As part of the London Central Next Step partnership and the Looking Ahead ESF IAG programme, we are able to provide a range of IAG services to equip clients with the necessary knowledge to enable them pursue appropriate career and learning paths. The partnerships allow us to work strategically, share information and provide the mechanism for effective referral to appropriate agencies.
IAG - Looking Ahead
Provides Pan-London IAG to ASYLUM SEEKERS: The programme offers support in Education & Training, Health and Welfare, ESOL, Literacy and Numeracy and ICT. As a result we improve the Confidence and Communication Skills of asylum seekers.
IAG -Next Step
Another Pan-London project to support hard to reach people. The partnership offer opportunities to share information with other providers as well as access to free training for delivering partners.
Neighbourhood Renewal Fund (NRF)
TELC is a delivery partner in the partnership to increase the employment rates of disadvantaged areas and groups, and those with the lowest qualifications, to significantly reduce their unemployment rate.
Skills for Living Programme
This was a partnership between Islington council, TELC and three other local organisations to deliver integrated ESOL and ICT training to people over 25 years. The project was funded by ESF/LSC.
UK online Partnership
TELC is an active member of the both Islington UK Online Partnership. as a committed member of this partnership TELC has been instrumental in the development of this most successful UK online partnership.
London Online Partnership
TELC is a committed partner in the London Online Partnership. A 2 year ESF-funded project from Ufi to boost delivery of VQs across the UK Online network, build further capacity to deliver VQs and improve networking and collaboration. The partnership involves13 delivery partners at over 20 locations across the capital, and our remit is to:
· Build training delivery capacity at 25 community/voluntary sector UK Online centres by establishing new test centres for OCR and BCS qualifications. Some centres that are already BCS accredited may be supported to secure capacity to deliver ITQ qualifications.
· Reinforce the capacity of 75 further centres and at least 75 staff and volunteers to deliver training and e-government services more effectively through a range of personal development courses, including:
· Boost the capacity of UK Online centres to deliver training to the hard to each and deprived communities of London helping to bridge the digital divide.
· Promote Pan-London networking and collaboration among centres to overcome isolation and empower centres to share best practice, expertise and ideas more effectively, acting as a springboard for future collaborative action in support of the London skills agenda.
