Delivering quality IT training to the community
The fast-changing socio-economic and cultural climate that we live in today has rendered the role of ICT one of paramount importance. IAP UK Online Centre is at the forefront of delivering accredited and non accredited ICT courses for learners who face difficulties in accessing relevant ICT support. Our ICT courses are delivered in a state of the art training room networked with high specification computers and an interactive whiteboard.
The OCN Level 1 and 2 courses which have been delivered this academic year has seen students gain knowledge and skills in Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, with each student gaining two or more units. Many of our students found employment with the skills they have learnt or have progressed to higher level ICT courses within the centre and other neighbouring training centres.
OPEN ACCESS The organsation offers free internet access to the public. This year over 1000 local people accessed the service for e-Government, E-Commerce and Job Search Support. Another ICT programme was the e-Government project, which highlighted the delivery of e-Government services to the public through the Internet. Learners found out how to access government information and services such as job search, citizenship, finding out about benefits, finding information for parents and much more.
Learners found the knowledge they gained invaluable because by the end of the programme they were able to access information easily. The IT courses are accredited by OCN, OCR and City and Guilds/Pitmans at all levels. |
