ELC are running a free childminding course for lone parents

FREE CHILDMINDING AND BUSINESS SKILLS COURSE  FOR UNEMPLOYED LONE PARENTS

This course is for unemployed lone parents who are/intend to become childminders and manage their own business. The Course will cover three main topics:

Childminding and Business Skills: which will cover topics such as Motivation to becoming a Childminder, Understanding of Self Employment, Business Planning, Marketing and Business Records and Administration.

Introduction to Childcare Practice (Home based): This is the qualification designed jointly by CACHE (Childcare exam board) and NCMA (National Childminding Association) as an approved qualification for registered childcare providers working in an unsupervised capacity from a home setting

Enhanced Paediatric First Aid: This qualification meets the requirements laid down by Sure start and OFSTED for anyone working in professional Childcare. The training also meets the guidance laid down by the Health and Safety Executive for the Appointed Person in the Workplace Certificate. Successful attendees will receive a certificate valid for 3 years
